London Olympics Tickets 2012

Tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games go on sale in 2011.

There will be 8 million tickets offered for sale for the Olympic Games and a further 1.5m for the Paralympic Games. Specific details are not planned for release until 2010 but we are already in discussions with the Olympic organisers with a view to getting the info as soon as it is finalised.

Tickets are expected to be set at fair prices, perhaps as many as 75% will be below £50, so that people from all walks of life can attend this showcase event in 2012. Organisers hope to repeat the success of the Manchester Commonwealth Games, where 90 per cent of tickets were sold.

Each ticket to the Olympics will include free travel on London’s public transport to and from the games. This will include those events being held outside of the arena such as the Road Cycling, Triathlon and Marathon. These events will take place on the streets of London, where spectators can line the route.

Tickets for the athletics will start at £15 and there will be around 20,000 tickets at £10 for the Olympic Park for visitors to watch the games on big tv screens.
