Rugby World Cup 2015 Tickets
Tickets to Rugby World Cup 2015 are not available at present. However, the English RFU have confirmed that England will bid to host the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The RFU are due to present their World Cup bid to the International Rugby Board on 13 May 2009.
Initial thoughts on suitable venues include the home of English rugby, Twickenham, plus Wembley and Old Trafford. The home of Welsh rugby has also been mentioned, the Millennium Stadium, but it is not clear whether this would mean a joint bid with the Welsh rugby union.
BBC Sports reported the following quotes recently;
“We believe it is time that we brought the tournament back to England,” said RFU chief executive Francis Baron. “We are confident we would be able to provide the best platform to profile the sport on the world stage and enable us to make a lasting commitment to grassroots rugby.”
The IRB will vote on the hosts for both the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups on 28 July 2009.
